I use this powder with 55 grain fmj bullets for .223, and it works great in my AR with a 16″ barrel. I’ve never had any cycling problems using 22.3 grains of AA2200 loading to 2.23″ OAL. Use for plinking, but can consistently hit 4″ steel at 200 yards.

This meters consistently in a Dillon measure. It burns fast enough and lights quick enough to be good for 16 inch barrels. I prefer magnum or military primers to make sure of consistent ignition. I have purchased more than 1 jug.
